Meet Tabitha

A Fighter for Families, Communities, and the Future

Tabitha is a humanist, autism advocate, and community leader running for Congress because she believes government should work for everyday people, not wealthy donors or powerful corporations.
She is a single mom of three autistic children and a late-diagnosed autistic woman herself, giving her firsthand experience navigating the challenges many families face when trying to access disability services, healthcare, and education. Those experiences shaped her commitment to strengthening policies that support families and ensure people with disabilities can live with dignity, independence, and opportunity.

A Life Built on Hard Work
Tabitha comes from a long line of hardworking Hoosiers. As a farmer’s daughter, her family has worked the land and the steel mills of Indiana since the early 1800s. She has spent most of her adult life as a union worker, and she understands what it means to work hard, raise a family, and fight for stability in uncertain times.
Those roots guide her belief that communities are strongest when neighbors support one another and no one is left behind.

Standing Up for Those Who Need It Most
Tabitha is also a domestic violence survivor, an advocate for social justice, and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Her life experiences have shaped a deep belief that character is measured by how we treat the most vulnerable among us.
She believes in creating a society that truly cares for its people — ensuring access to quality education, affordable childcare, strong unions, and opportunities for every child to succeed.

Fighting for Real Change
Tabitha is running because she believes our political system is failing the people it is supposed to serve. Too often, corporate money and special interests control the agenda in Washington while everyday families struggle with rising costs and limited opportunities.
She believes we must address the influence of money in politics so our government can focus on what truly matters: healthcare, education, affordable housing, and protecting our environment.

Protecting Indiana’s Future
Tabitha is committed to protecting Indiana’s farmland and natural resources while supporting the family farms that are central to the state’s economy and heritage. Clean air, clean water, and sustainable agriculture are essential to the health of both our communities and future generations.

A Backbone of Steel
At the end of the day, Tabitha believes leadership means standing up for others and fighting for what’s right, even when it’s difficult.
She believes in kindness, duty, dignity, and lifting each other up.
And when the fight comes, she’s the one you want on your side, because she has a backbone of steel and never leaves anyone behind.
